Don't want to loose progress

Hello,

Today I need to re-install my windows as it became corrupted and a few apps
are completely not working anymore. The problem is I'm at the very last
scenario of Dino Digs. I could finish and re-install afterwards but even Zoo
Tycoon is closing down unexpectedly after some play, so I can't finish. When
I do my clean install, I will have lost the progress of my scenarios. How
can I save my progress in the game and make sure I can continue where I
ended once my computer is re-installed.

Is your system healthy enough to back up the saved game files? I think if
you back them up, then restore them (if they're gone) after you fix Windows
and reinstall ZT, you should be OK.

When I got my new computer, I installed ZT on it then transferred my saved
game files to the appropriate directory on the new computer. When I started
ZT, it first it looked like I hadn't played any of the scenarios. However,
after loading each saved game, the program recognized the ones I had
finished.

You only need to save the zoo.ini file from your game directory. It
contains the information of which scenarios you have successfully
completed.

right, it doesn't save the games themselves.
