We are considering purchasing Zoo Tycoon for our public access computers at
our library. Due to the nature of public computers, it is not as
straightforward as a home installation, so I have a couple of questions.

1. I understand that if we purchase the expansion packs, the CD's are
required to be in the drive to play the game. This is untenable for a
library as we do not have the staff to constantly be pulling CD's, or keeping
track of them. Will this program run under a virtual CD program? If not, is
there a way to copy the CD's to the hard drive as we can with the Magic
School Bus series?

2. I assume that players can save the progress of their games, but since we
restrict access to the C: drive, is there a way to tell the program to save
to an alternate location, including a flash drive or another partition?

If you wish to respond to me privately, please do so.

Thanks for your help.

You might try copying the CD to the Hard Drive then run install from the
Hard Drive....I can't guarantee it will work but I have done it with a few
programs successfully however those programs were not games.

Life would be easier if we could view the source code
