This is probably not the right section to pose this question; but, since my
issue did arise while playing the subject game, I'll take a chance that one
of you kind folks may have an answer.

All of a sudden after playing Zoo Tycoon2 for weeks, the program started
launching in a smaller window instead of the full-screen version. I have
the full-screen option checked in the game options. The other two games on
my machine are also suddenly doing the same thing.

Is there a setting on the operating system (Windows XP Pro) that defines
what a 'full screen' is for a launched program that got 'unset' somehow? My
desktop is displaying fine in full screen.

I know this is a misplaced questions but would sure appreciate some help.
Thanks

After the game starts in a smaller window, are you able to maximize it to a
full window? If so, after it maximizes, exit the game through the ingame
controls and try the game again. The Windows Registry remembers the
size/location of various windows and if you start/close the game in a
reduced window, it will restart the same way.

Check your video drivers properties: a setting may have changed about
how lower resolution are scaled back on a TFT monitor and it might
have been somehow modified from scaling to centered (right-click the
desktop and choose properties then go to your video adapter tab and
check the different options)

What video card are you using?
