I get the following error when I start the game:
"You need at least 256 MB of system memory to run Zoo Tycoon 2"
I have 4GB (YES, IT'S 4GB!!!), running with Vista Ultimate 64bit, a Intel
E6600 Core 2 Duo 2.4, 4x 1GB Team Xtreem Dark PC6400, an Asus Striker Extreme
and a NVIDIA 8800 GTS 640MB GPU. That has to be enough to run every game
that's now on the market!
If I take out 2 GB of the memory, ZOO Tycoon 2 runs perfectly! If I put the
2 GB back in again to make it 4GB, I get the above error...
Now this game is made by Microsoft, for Microsoft and I'm running a
Microsoft Vista Operating system that can support a lot more than 4 GB.
So what's the problem?
I have installed ALL the updates, including the famous KB929777, but it all
fails.
How can I run this game without opening my case and taking out half of the
memory...? I run memtest, the memory is fine, in the shop they checked it,
it's fine, no problems with other software also.
From all the games I have installed on this system only Zoo Tycoon 2 has
problems with 4GB. It is working good with only 2 GB!
Most remarkeble thing is that the error; "You need at least 256 MB of system
memory to run Zoo Tycoon 2", is totally stupid!
Just the fact that this Microsoft product cannot work with another Microsoft
product...
