Help please, i have tried everything...

hi, i was happily playing zoo tycoon 2 for only under a week. But the other
day it started doing what i can't solve. Everytime i open it i can hear the
sound and everything, but i just can't see the picture, it is completely
black screen. I tried un-installing it and re-installing it, nothing works. I
would appreciate some advise. I can't email microsoft because i can't get the
product identification number!

Try starting it in a window and if successful, you can change the vid
settings in the game. To do this, try the below (might also want to consider
updating your drivers).

1. In Microsoft Windows Explorer, locate the following folder:
%APPDATA%\Microsoft Games\Zoo Tycoon 2
2. Right-click Options.xml, and then click Open.
3. On the Edit menu in Notepad, click Find.
4. In the Find what box, type Graphics fullscreen , and then click Find
Next.
5. Click Cancel.
6. Change Graphics fullscreen=1 to Graphics fullscreen=0.
7. On the File menu, click Save.
8. On the File menu, click Exit.

I really wish I could help you, I'm thinking when you bought your software,
wasnt their a number on the box or cd case? and you can alway go to msn
gaming zone and search for zoo tycoon2, tech support web site.
