Start up error

The first set of Ultimate Collection disks would not let us install Disk 3,
and Microsoft set us another set. I installed the new ones and my grand
daughter played the game but it would not save. It kept saying read only
files. I went to the web site and read some things in the forum. I then tried
creating a saved folder. Then the game would not even boot up. I uninstalled
the program and re-installed it. Now we get a new error that says "Another
instance of Startup.exe is running" Does anyone know how I can fix this
problem?

I am having this exact same problem. I haven't even been able to play the
game at all! It won't start and I'm pulling my hair out. I run XP, not
Vista, and have all the needed system requirements. It installed fine after
I received my replacement disks, but since I didn't launch after install, it
won't let me run it. It just said another instance of Startup.exe is already
running, and just sits there. I'm going to call tech support, so I will let
you know what I find out.
